San Sebastian Summer Study

Homestay & High School Program in the Summer Capital of Spain!

Two weeks of language classes & homestay in San Sebastian, one week of Host Family Immersion, one week of travel, including three nights in Barcelona.

Program location: San Sebastian & Southern Spain Immersion
Dates: July 9 – August 8
Ages: 15 – 18 years
Language prerequisite: Two years of High School Spanish*

*Exceptions considered with teacher recommendation

The most striking image of the city is its amazing bay in the shape of an almost perfect shell, thought to be one of the most attractive in the world. Filled with students from all over the world, San Sebastian is an ideal town in which to study Spanish abroad, with wonderful beaches, a charming old quarter & a youthful, vibrant buzz!

Your Trip at a Glance

1. Start off with three exciting nights in culturally rich & historic Barcelona.
2. Next spend two weeks in San Sebastian enjoying...
- A homestay with families chosen by the language school
- Morning language classes at Lacunza Language School, a highly regarded Spanish language institute, internationally recognized for its Spanish teen study abroad programs - opportunity to earn three units of university credit
- Afternoon and evening activities such as water sports, salsa or flamenco dance lessons, tapas tasting, beach volleyball, kayaking, cooking workshops, a flamenco show...and more!
- Excursions to the nearby cities of Bilbao, Pamplona & the French Basque towns of Biarritz and Hendaye
- Language Partner sessions with local Spanish college students
3. Followed by Host Family Immersion Week speaking only Spanish in the charming Mediterranean town of Estepona.

4. Finally, up to a week of travel to some of the most amazing destinations in Spain - Madrid, Cordoba, Granada & Seville.
