Summer Dorm Spanish Camp in Costa Rica for Middle School Students & High School Freshmen – Pura Vida!

Participate in a truly amazing Spanish language experience designed for middle school students and high school freshmen.

Experience two weeks of Spanish language classes* in Grecia, Costa Rica, with great outdoor activities and weekend excursions.

Grecia - A Safe, Family Community Ideal for a Summer Spanish Immersion Camp

An authentic Costa Rican town off the beaten path, Grecia enjoys a year-round temperate climate. The friendly community is a large part of what makes it the ideal place to spend time practicing your Spanish, and from which to explore the natural wonders & biodiversity of this tropical paradise nation.

The language school where ECI offers its classes and the comfortable casitas are located just a few blocks outside the center of town. It has a central pavilion where breakfast is served each morning. Our students have the entire Casita Complex to themselves for the duration of their program. This popular trip is limited to only twenty-four students with at least three full-time leaders, one of whom is a bilingual naturalist guide. This is an ideal ratio in terms of student bonding, personal attention & safety – always our number one priority.

Highlights of your Spanish Camp Adventure

1. Two-week Spanish study program with afternoon language classes at the Academia Centroamericana de Español (ACCE) Language School, located just blocks from the town’s center and student casitas.
2. Cultural and fun activities include swimming, volleyball, soccer games, horseback riding, hiking, movie nights, dance and cooking classes, scavenger hunts, a local school visit & one day community service project.
3. Weekend excursions to some of Costa Rica’s most exciting destinations, from the majestic Arenal Volcano to the ecologically-rich Monteverde Cloud Forest & the monkey-inhabited beaches of Manuel Antonio National Park.
4. Visits to nearby towns to see the sights and interact with the local communities.
5. A dinner and show that highlight typical foods and folk dances and allow you to savor the sights, sounds and tastes of Costa Rica.
6. Spanish Language Partner sessions with local teens.
