Host families typically become the friends and extended family of our ECI students. As a token of our gratitude for your generous support of our students, we offer the following incentives to you and your family:
- 5% discount on Program Fees on an ECI Trip for your children (please see below)
- Tax-deductible expenses (gas and driving expenses, food) for any group trip activity
Additionally, if your children need community service hours, hosting one of our ECI students can be applied towards this community service requirement!

ECI’s Programs in Europe and Costa Rica for American High School/Middle School Students
Paint a picture in Provence, taste tapas in Toledo, or zip line through the Costa Rican cloud forest! ECI offers fun summer study abroad and immersion programs for American teens. Our 2-4 week summer trips include Spanish or French language classes, hands-on activities and exciting excursions.
Students experience the perfect balance of structured versus free time, with lots of opportunity for socializing and cultural immersion – all in a safe and fully chaperoned environment.
Most trips allow students to take language classes in French or Spanish and earn University Credit, a great asset on future college applications.
